Nuhash Polli (নুহাশ পল্লী):

Nuhash polli is as it were a portrait of an artistic thought of acclaimed writer Humayun Ahmed. This is an important part of his literary life that exploits the greatest glory of his literature. Actually Nuhash Polli is a farm house and also a shooting spot. Besides, it is a family entertainment centre and a decorated picnic spot. Visitors visit here to seek a bewitching happiness. Through the grand entrance gate there is a sculpture of an infant holding it's mother's hand by a hand and the other hand is widened forward as if it puts the reception for the visitors. After the sculpture, there is a field of a long distance with a conspicuous green carpet of grass. Beside the left of the field, there is a prayer house in the shade of Shefali trees. There was an altar made by white stone's. He constructed this for his beloved mother. The next of it, there is a small lichee garden consisted of three lichee trees. A black-berry garden is situated at the northern side and a mango garden is situated at the southern side of the lichee garden. Our famous bells-lettered has been sepulchred under the tree of lichee. There are near about two hundred and fifty species of rare plants in the medicine, the fruit, the herb and the organic farms. Those trees have made the farm-house amazing. Every tree bears its own identity by a chart.

Sir Humayun Ahmed made a shooting spot in the villa. Many of his dramas and movies were built in this. There are three beautiful bungalows. He lived in one and two others were the impersonation of his artistic thought. He nomenclatured one of those two bungalows -"Bhoot Bilas" stood in front of a lake with paved wharf. This lake is another attraction of Nuhash Polli. It's name is "Lilaboti Dighi". There are many trees around the lake. A small island with many coconut trees is in the middle of the lake. there are near about two hundred and fifty species of rare plants in the medicine, the fruit, the herb and the organic farms. Those trees have made the farm-house amazing. Every tree bears it's own identity by a chart.

Behind the medicine garden a mermaid's and a demon's sculptures are hidden there. Besides that there is a pond named 'Padmapukur' a rugged swimming pool which is designed on the organic forms.
A garden of date is situated at the east of the villa. An ultramodern house named 'Brishti Bilas' is resided by a side of the garden. There are also found a bust of Humayun Ahmed, the sculpture of prehistorical beasts, the depiction of chess, the tea-house and many types of architecture.
When sir was alive, there were no ticket system to entire for the visitors. But now the authority of Nuhash Polli has decided that two hundred taka for each visitor for entree fee who are up twelve years old would be taken. But under the twelve years old no ticket is taken.
This fee is used for the management of the farm. They also use the fee for a school "Shaheed Smity Biddhapith",at Kutubpur, Netrokona.
Sir Humayun Ahmed had furnished Nuhash Polli with his superb care. It was a dreamland to him. As a fan, we should pray that the evergreen Nuhash Polli would be evergreen.
